Accounting Manager

INVISTA is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Wichita accounting team as part our CFO organization.  A successful individual for this role must have excellent leadership and communication skills, strong analytical and critical thinking skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and a desire to drive process improvements.  This individual will be part of our global accounting capability focused on providing a high level of customer focus and value creation for our businesses.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead accounting capability in delivering optimized and profitable services in the areas of cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable and revenue recognition
  • Coach and develop team members to advance MBM® application
  • Develop and sustain internal financial control environment
  • Ensure analysis and measures drive financial statement integrity and profitable actions
  • Proactively identify and drive improvements in the areas of internal controls, financial systems and business processes
  • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
 
Required Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of Accounting or Finance experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in Accounting, Finance or business related field
  • Experience communicating across all levels of the organization, including leadership
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong collaboration and customer relationship skills
 
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Experience working in the integrated procure to pay (AP) or order to cash (cash/AR) processes
  • SAP experience
  • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) experience
  • Business Intelligence (BI) experience
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
