Senior Tax Accountant

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


  • Review and preparation of federal and state investment partnership and corporate income tax returns to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with federal and state tax law
  • Supporting company positions in tax audits and participating in tax planning projects
  • Participate in modeling tax reform changes and transactions
  • Maintain tax basis balance sheets
  • Coordinate the completion of tax packages and submission of data to an outside provider
  • Develop an understanding of tax legislation and potential changes to determine its impact on the company’s compliance and effective tax rate
  • Innovate and transform current processes to improve efficiency

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in partnership or corporate income tax compliance
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word (update and build documents and spreadsheets, write formulas, update and build tables, charts and macros)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or related degree with relevant experience

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous public accounting experience or large corporate experience
  • 4+ years experience with state, federal partnership or corporate income taxation 
  • 1+ years of experience in trust and/or individual tax compliance

Responsibilities include working work with sponsors to:

  • Experiment with new technologies that can be leveraged to add value to the business
  • Help align team objectives with overall vision and strategies
  • Recommend enhancements to optimize or enhance current business processes
  • Research disruptive information technology
  • Implement complex IT solutions
  • Effectively capture business requirements, map processes, and develop functional specifications in support of business priorities
  • Coordinate testing and process changes through the organization as needed

 

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project management, business system analysis, digital product management or process analysis experience
  • Experience working with software vendors or software development to solve application issues
  • Experience maintaining product backlogs to include epics, features, stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Experience implementing, supporting, or using data analytics
  • Experience taking project from conception to production managing all aspects of solution delivery including; requirements gathering, scope definition, resource planning, budget management, status reporting, risk management and change control
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendors to assist in or solely drive project delivery
  • Bachelor’s Degree
